Yet another 2fps hack question...

I've managed to do the 2fps hack, but I seem to be having trouble in Premiere.

I've recorded 40 minutes of footage. My settings are 720p/60p at 2fps.

The video is choppy ("laggy" if you will), but I'm assuming that's because of the 2fps frame rate.

I can't figure out how to create a time lapse in Premiere Pro. I know I have to change the playback rate, but I've tried that and the footage remains "laggy".

I've searched high and low for a reasonable explanation and yet, here I am asking for help.

I know it's an inconvenience, but would anyone be willing to provide me with a step by step set of instructions as to how you create a good time lapse using the 2fps hack?

What settings do you use? How do you deal with the video in Premiere Pro?

I'm not even sure I know what you mean by "2fps hack".

I agree. If you have the camera I think you have then I recommend buy the DVD that this hack comes from. That writer is awesome and has a wealth of great info.

BTW if you get the timeline fps settings right and the hack right and it does not work without using fancy tricks in editor then you either did not do it right or you should adjust your shutter.

I think he's talking about the HVX200 2fps hack.

Set your timeline to 24fps and see how it looks. I don't have an HVX or Premiere but if I remember correctly, all of the fancy framerates the HVX records in are actually going to a 24p stream. 2fps is just the rate the camera is capturing at, but if you want to play back as timelapse, you need to do so at 24fps.

That was my guess as well. I just thought I would try to answer vague instead of the usual "we need more details".

The answer is it should just work if you recorded it right. The 24p timeline is the only thing I can think of that would be wrong if recorded right.

BTW we still don't know for sure that HVX is the camera.

I posted this in the HVX forums, but it got moved. So yes, the camera is an HVX200.

I also have the HVX handbook, and both Bootcamp DVD's but neither give instructions for Premiere Pro.
