Yet another 24P disaster...!!!

OK... It was bound to happen eventually...

After plenty of thinking and planning (or not)... I started a 24p project.
I guess I wasn't really ready because my very first shot was obviously not in 24p.
It appears to be just normal (I'm guessing scene 1)... Everything else is 24p.
I discovered this after capturing, and it is literally the first shot in the piece... so it came to light rather quickly. Of course it can't be re-shot.
Any ideas and/or solutions? How can I correct or change this one shot to match my project... with the least amount of quality loss...???

Thank you in advance...

i guess you could convert that 60i footage to 24p with DVfilm maker, i've no experience of using it myself though.

If you care to maintain the 24P frame rate than you can do teh above suggestion so that you can create a 24p DVD or incase you want a film out eventually (something tells me you dont need those things) Another thing you can do is convert your 24p footage into 29.97. If you have 24p Advanced footage you need to use some other NLE like final cut or after effects to conver the 2:3:3:2 pulldown into 2:3 pulldown. If you have 24pN footage you need to use another NLE to convert it to 29.97 or in vegas set the option not to remove the pulldown and that way premiere will recognize it and use it effectivley in a 29.97 project. Good luck

Do you think it was shot as 24p but Premiere is not recognizing it as such. (Or did you make a mistake and shoot with F1 60i for example).

Sometimes premiere is not very good at detecting the 3:2 pulldown to remove. If you auto captured the shot, you could go back and manually capture it, making sure to start about a second into scene so you know you are on good data.

That's a good point/idea... I'll go check it and try to re-capture it...
The shot looks great... as if it's 24P... it's just not in the 16x9...
I would have thought... I guess... I have to believe ... that I had the
settings right to begin with, but at my age I swear....anything could happen...LOL...!!!
Going to check right now....

Thanks again...!!!
