Yankee or Dixie?

69% (Dixie). A definitive Southern score!

Cool... now where'd I put my remote? I hope Dukes of Hazzard is on... :cheesy:

53% Dixie.

I've lived in MS, GA, TX, AZ, CO, WA, MO, NE.

Some of these questions are tricky. I use pop, soda, and coke interchangeably.

Can a Canadian play? It said I was 52% Dixie (barely).

Though I had never heard of some of the terms, many of my answers made reference to the Great Lakes region. I AM on Lake Superior.

You say either and I say either,
You say neither and I say neither
Either, either
Neither, neither
Let's call the whole thing off

You like potato and I like potahto
You like tomato and I like tomahto
Potato, potahto,
Tomato, tomahto.
Let's call the whole thing off

But oh, if we call the whole thing off
Then we must part
and oh, if we ever part, then that might break my heart

So if you like pajamas
and I like pajahmas,
I'll wear pajamas
and give up pajahmas
for we know we need each other so
we better call the whole thing off
let's call the whole thing off

You say laughter and I say larfter
You say after and I say arfter
Laughter, larfter
after arfter
Let's call the whole thing off

You like vanilla and I say vanella
you saspiralla, and I saspirella
vanilla vanella
chocolate strawberry
let's call the whole thing off

but oh if we call the whole thing off
then we must part
and oh, if we ever part,
then that might break my heart

So if you go for oysters
and I go for ersters
I'll order oysters
and cancel the ersters
for we know we need each other
we better call the calling off off
let's call the whole thing off

I say father, and you say pater,
I saw mother and you say mater
Pater, mater
Uncle, auntie
let's call the whole thing off

I like bananas and you like banahnahs
I say Havana and I get Havahnah
Bananas, banahnahs
Havana, Havahnah
Go your way, I'll go mine

So if I go for scallops
and you go for lobsters,
So all right no contest
we'll order lobseter
For we know we need each other
we better call the calling off off
let's call the whole thing off

44% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category.
Born in NC. Raised in Boston. College in NC. 10 years in LA. 2 years in TN (current). Never know what to answer any more when asked where I am from. 44% Yankee sounds about right to me.

62% (Dixie). A definitive Southern score!

Uhum. What can I say I am Australian and live in Tokyo. I couldnt answer a few questions either.

1. How do you pronounce Aunt?
Like the word want
Like the word ant
Like the word caught
I pronounce them all the same

Heh, I pronounce it pretty much the same with less R accent as aren't.

And a drive through liquor shop is called a bottle shop :P

I don't get it. I am 66% percent dixie.

Aside from a brief stint in Colorado when I was a kid and California from '93-2001...I've been a New Yorker all my life. Who knew? No wonder why I just felt so out of place here. So different from my regular New York friends. And I should have seen the signs. When I was a young boy, I was very attracted to the Southern States when I'd look at them on a map. I guess I should come out to my Yankee friends and exclaim..."Guys....I need to tell you something....I'm a DIXIE".

yes! My GF is 49% Yankee. Personally, I think shes 100% NY...but I guess using the word sack made the difference. :o)

52% Dixie.

Which makes sense cause in my 22 years, I've lived in Panama, California, Virginia, Illinois, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and North Carolina.

84% Dixie
Proving that ya'll can take MsManhattan outta the South, but ya'll can't take the South outta MsManhattan.

Yeah... I'm a little bit hip hop....^ shes a little bit rock and roooolllllll.

40% (Yankee) but thats because Ima homie.

Well, most of my responses came up as "Great Lakes" region, which is spot-on. That makes me "barely into Yankee territory."
