Wet poodle
That sucka finally came in this morning - playin with it now -

jesus h. christ, it's heavy with the marshall attached and the rods, etc.

Anyone have any tips for handheld work??

:violent5:

Once I got the M2 I started using a tripod for all of my handheld work. ;)

HAVE FUN!

Which M2 setup did you get?

I have Zeiss Primes waiting for a 35mm adapter, and I also have a set of Nikon and Cannon Still lenses.

Will the 1700 dollar package allow me to use both?

As well, if I get the m2 for HVX application, it says that you can use it for any other camera... what rails do I need for the DVX?

By the by-- Not going to actually buy an HVX either. Renting, but I'll have the M2 ready for productions since you can't seem to rent it anywhere. I'll also be renting mines with Zeiss' to those interested in Los Angeles area.

I use a FigRig with my DVX/M2 combo and I love it.

There's more info about me using it on the Blog listed below.

That's awesome.

Karl how much did you pay for your figrig? And where'd you get it?

I'm looking into getting one myself.

I paid the retail of $299. (My producer paid for it, actually) It was worth every penny too. It was especialy useful for the location shots where we didn't have a lot of set up time (or permission to shoot). I would just find something to brace myself against, lock my elbows into my sides and VILOA! I became my own tripod!

Here is another picture of me using it. I would often prop it up on my knee (I had one leg on those Parking Space things) and shoot that way. It worked out great.

That's sweet - I wonder how that thing would be with the HVX and a Marshall attached to the handle? Hmm. I played with this sucka all day and love it even though it's light hungry and heavy as sh*t for handheld work - need a fig a rig..

How would a stedicam handle a DVX or HVX and a M2? Which one should I get for it to be easier to balance but maintain a decent price? I was thinking of the Flyer 24, would that hold it?
