y use procoder if DVDarchitect renders dvd

I'm a little confused. If I have DVD architect 2 (I don't use vegas rather AVID) I can import a media file (usually quicktime ref) into the menu and then render a DVD file for later burning.
Why would I benefit from using a program like procoder to make the DVD file? Assuming money isn't an object- I'm asking strictly about quality.
Thanks in advance for any input.

I haven't used Procoder, but in theory, as it's a program designed exactly for the purpose of encoding, it produces a superior result.

However, DVD Architect's encoder is pretty damn good.

And keep in mind that if you use Procoder but don't set up the encoding so that it matches DVDA, DVDA will re-render it anyway.

thanks for the reply David,
That is what I figured but I have always had great picture quality in DVDa that using a different encoder never crossed my mind.
