Xtreme destroys FE

Hey guys I recently started wrapping up a short film I was hired to direct that we shot with a Letus FE about 5 months ago. I have not seen the footage for a while and I have done 6 or 7 projects since with my extreme. The FE footage was nice, but I can not believe how much better the extreme looks. Its not just light loss, the Extreme is so much sharper. I will try to post some grabs soon.

Just thought I would share.

Jason you are shooting with a DVX right? what is your total set up rails etc.?

would like to see some comparison grabs!

Do you find the indirails with the grips and shoulder mount to be comfortable? Is it as good (in your opinion) as something like the cavision stuff, does the whole rig feel could sitting on your shoulder like that? Could I get a pic of it?

Can you tell us if the mono pole is spring loaded like the DVrig.

How well does our Cavsion sit on your shoulders? Is it too straight and you can't use your camera VF ( when not using an adapter). or can you still use it?

When using an adpter, on the Cavision set. Are you using a monitor or is there enought space for you to use the LCD on the camera.

I've got the cavision rails and grip. I was thinking about getting the shoulder pads and the mono pole. But somehow I can't see that it will fit on my body like the DVrig that I'm having.

Because the DVrig mounts the camera in front of me and the support goes to the right side and back to my shoulders . hence I can still use the VF of my camera when I'm not using the 35mm adapter. And the spring loaded pole of the DVrig is so good that that it keeps the camera up without much effort.

No its not the Indibrace its the new carbon fiber rods shoulder system.

24inch rails, shoulder pad, and front hand grips. It is very cool and should be available. I just don't think the web site is updated.

Well I try to buy Cavision (in Vancouver) but I got the mono pole and returned it the next day. I don't know if that take returns but I left it a my regular shop ( Provision, great guys) because I can't really use it for anything. The build was terrible and there is no support at the end of the pole just a 3/4 inch L bracket that digs into yer skin. I lasted about 4 minutes with it. Too bad but hopefully they will get it right.
