xlr mics

First decide what type of mic you need.

Omni (for groups of people), cardioid (rejects some side noise), or hypercardioid (rejects more side noise).

A shotgun mic is more difficult to use indoors. Because it reaches out a shotgun will often pickup unintended echo while indoors if you turn up the volume. This makes the audio sound cheap.

A hidden gem for indoors is the AKG8000. It has great noise rejection and it's a dynamic hypercardioid mic, but as a loss leader two are sold for $50! Its much better than those chinese shotgun knock offs.

Do you need phantom power, does the mic have a battery?
Next price point up you might look at the AT897 (shotgun) or Rode Video mic, etc.

After you narrow it down, then you can search.

Login first.

Go to the marketplace section:

On the right side do a "search this forum"

You can't search for 3 letters or less, so mic is out.

You might try brand names like Rode, Audio Technica, sennheiser, etc. Or specific models like the AT897, etc.
