Hi, i have a sennheiser AT803b lavalier (xlr that needs 12v phantom power)

Is there a way to connect the lavalier to the 3.5mm input jack of my audiorecorder pcm-m10 (it provides plug-in power)
...mmmmm

(with the rode lavalier, i can change the micon xlr to the micon 1/8, but with the AT803b i dont know)

Thanks in advance,

Plug in power is not the same as phantom power as it is a lot lower voltage.

Typically phantom is 12v-52v and plug in power is 1.5-5v.

So it won't work unless you have a battery phantom power pack in between the mic and the recorder and it will probably be cheaper to buy a rode smartlav.

I couldn't find any Sennheiser microphone called "AT803b".
"AT" typically is used by Audio Technica, and they make a mic called "AT803"

According to the information on AT's website, that mic uses a connector box that you can use a AA battery to power the mic.
So you don't need phantom power (12V) or plug-in power from the recorder, either.
You simply need an appropriate XLR to 3.5mm cable to connect the mic box to the recorder.

All my lavs (except one old ECM55) are wired for wireless transmitters. I do have four XLR Phantom Power adapters which transforms PP to bias current (aka, plug-in power) for hardwired use. Unfortunately those Phantom Pwr. adapters weren't cheap.
Yes, if your lav has a in-line battery pwr. supply, a simple/low cost XLR to 3.5mm (1/8") adapter should work. If it needs to feed both L-R channels, one with a suitably wired TRS 3.5mm plug is needed. I recall seeing them from Hosa and Sescom.
