XLR converter to USB for MAC

Hi,
I have a Sennheiser ME66 that I want to use to record a voice over for an instruction video and I need a XLR converter to USB. I want to directly record onto Soundtrack Pro. I have looked into the Icicle model and the Midi Mic (??) brand. Is there a difference between the two? or can anyone suggest another brand that would be more appropriate? or does it even matter which brand I buy since it's just an adapter?

It shouldn't really matter which one you pick up, every one of those basic XLR adapters I've seen just appears as a generic USB interface to the host computer, be it Mac, PC, or Linux.

It's not an adapter it's a combo Mic Preamp/ AD Converter and USB interface. Yes it probably does make a difference. For one thing not all provide phantom power, there are I am sure some really bad pre's on some and of course the AD converter...

Brands that live by their reputation for quality are probably going to be better than a company that mostly makes consumer toys. The flip side is that many are probably using the same components so \there is probably a good value in the mid range prices.

Blue started (and still does) make some very nice high end mics. Everything I've heard about their cheaper mics has been good so I would vote for the Icicle.
