I need one for my oktava (~25 ft).

Is there a specific brand that I should be looking for, or will any do.

Any links would be great!

Thanks

Sorry... been really busy. Industry standard is Canare Starquad... technically L-4E6S cable terminated with Neutrik connectors. Those are decent cables... I used to get them from Trew Audio.

Now I do something a little different... which I feel is superior... but it's not a quad configuration. I use my own cables for everything... I've got a lot of them out in the field... and so far I've never had a single problem. If anybody ever DOES have a problem with one of my cables I'll repair or replace it.

Look at Canare DA-206 for a direct apples to apples comparison... DA-206 costs about 40% more per foot of cable... I sell my cables for really close to the same price as an ordinary StarQuad... and yet they spec out somewhere between the DA-206 and Klotz... (Klotz cables are about 500% higher $$$ then mine)... and the Musilux cables are buttah' soft.

But lately I've been too busy with video... it's 2-22-07 today... I'm gonna' need a couple weeks on the cable thing... too many projects are simultaneously wrapping right now... I'm running on 4 hours of sleep today... the STL homeshow started at 10a... and I had to finish a video on Saturday... and have it done by the show start this morning... 20 tapes... edit in 4 days... yeah I'm tired.

To those who have PM'ed about cables... I'm sorry for the delays... and I genuinely appreciate the support of this forum. If it weren't for this place I wouldn't even need the internet.

So is my MattinSTL cable like a collector's item now? "I gotta 25' blue first generation MattinSTL cable (some silver paint on it), bidding starts at $40 :) "

Good to hear you've been busy Matt.

Cheers

No worries... I'll be back to it soon. Since I've got some vidpay coming I'm thinking I'll start offering black, blue, gray, and red also.
