I know 6.0 has a 24p setting but the footage doesn't look so good is that b/c the footage isn't rendered? I know it final cut it's crystal clear without the rendering.

Premiere 6.0 cannot edit a 24P DV .avi file. If you want to edit 24P in Premiere 6.0, download DVFilm.com's Maker software, and it will convert your 24P footage into 24p Quicktime files, which Premiere 6.0 can edit natively (if I remember all that correctly).

Can't say, I haven't tried to do 24P editing in Premiere 6.0. In all honesty, it was the 24P situation that got me to ditch Premiere and move to Vegas, and it was by far the smartest, most enjoyable editing decision I've ever made. I used Premiere since version 4.0, but when it came time to upgrade to 6.5 I switched to Vegas instead. Never regretted it for one second.
