XL2 35mm adapter question

I am considering purchasing a 35mm adapter for my XL2 and have been looking at the go35. I have also looked at Canon's EF adpater and have heard many people say that you can't get as much DOF as compared to the stock lens mountable adapters, such as the go35. Does anyone have experience with either of these on the XL2?

What's your budget?

I think you'll get comparable results from the M2, the Brevis, the go35 and a couple of others out there. Check out the new letus adapter...it acts as a relay lens....so you don't need the xl2 lens in front, which would turn your setup into a bazooka (though bazookas do have their place). So instead of having, eg...nikon lens ---> adapter ---> xl2 lens ---> xl2 body, you'd just have nikon lens ---> letus relay ---> xl2 body.

Less glass generally makes for a cleaner picture (check out disjecta's footage at xlcinema.com).

It would also allow you to use the setup with a handheld steadicam setup (merlin, for example) if you're so inclined.

The EF adapter is just a lens extender...resulting in the dof you're after but at the expense of field of view (you fov becomes narrower and the image becomes compressed).

the new letus35XL v2 is the ONLY way to go... Sharp, EASY to set up and uses its own relay lens.
