I am working on a project utilizing a Canon XH-A1s, a 7d, and two GoProHD cameras.

I am trying to figure out the best FCP workflow for these cameras. Both the 7d and the GoPro cameras will be converted to Prores using MPEG Streamclip. About 60-70% will be HDV I'm guessing. I'm working on FCP7 on an 8-Core Mac Pro.
My guess is that I should use a HDV sequence, rendering to Prores. That way I will be downconverting the 1920 prores files to 1440, as opposed to upconverting the HDV footage.
Final output will be H264 for Youtube HD and Apple Podcasts.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
