XH-A1 & 35mm adapters: Are they compatible with auto focus?

Can you still effectively use the auto focus with a 35mm adapter? We shoot outdoors, long range (10x-20x zoom most of the time) and rarely use manual focus. So is there any chance of effectively using a 35mm in these situations?

And if not, what is the next best thing to simulate the film look? Can it be achieved with any success in post?

No, as far as I know, that's not possible. You have to focus your camera onto the ground glass inside the 35mm adapter. You shouldn't touch it after you got the focus right. All focusing done after this is done with the mounted lens.
 
Heres my question for the A1, I know there are custom focus and zoom presets...After these presets are applied, is there a way to "lock" them, in camera while your shooting? (ex: focus & zoom cannot be changed.)
