Tried searching but can't see any reference to this - so hopefully it's just me.
Got some XDCam footage on Sony drives. Copied BPAV folder to my local machine. (It's a borrowed Sony Drive with battery which is going flat so I gave up trying to load from drive and copied before battery went flat)
Used Media Browser to locate folder and sure enough see three files as I would expect
File 1 - Colour Bars
File 2 - Short Recording Test
File 3 - 2 hours of seminar
File 1 and 2 load into timeline fine and play and can be cut etc in timeline - they play back perfect
File 3 - load it in and Premiere seems to (sort of) hang
No image ever comes up but after a period of time (30 seconds?) I can hit play and hear the audio fine - but no image ever comes up.
File 3 is big - the whole folder is 30GB - so it's a conventional setup with multiple 4GB files in their folders
I've got (genuine) CS4 on Vista 32 - Quad Core 6600 with 2GB of RAM and a couple of hundred GBs of free HDD Space
I'm guessing it's either machine spec or file size causing an issue?
Any ideas? total noob to XDCam here
Any help appreciated
