xdcam ex in vegas 8

[JONJON]

I had a friend help me with a wedding not too long ago, i used my dvx and he had a jvc hd cam(not sure which one). his camera saves his footage to quicktime for FCP editing from what i understand. the problem is it seems vegas will read the audio clip but not the video part of it.. any ideas for a workaround on this ? thanks

I encountered this problem with Vegas 8(c) also; reinstalling the older version of Quicktime temporarily solved it.

With that said, a couple of months ago I upgraded from 8(c) to 11. Vegas 11 seems to have cured all the file importation problems I once encountered with 8. It's nice to be able to ingest pretty much anything into the timeline without a hiccup.
