Hope someone can help me with this issue. My sequence is set to edit in XDCAM EX 720p24 (35 Mb/s VBR) codec.

Editing clips that came straight from the camera is no problem. The problem happens when I render anything out from After Effects in the same codec, and bring it in. Final Cut takes about one minute to load when clicking anywhere within this new file. Playback is impossible. The file plays just fine in quicktime player and is the exact same codec as the timelime. Any idea what's going on? Thanks guys,

Ah, one more- upon further inspection, movies I export from FCP (6.0.4) have double frames on some parts (the same frame twice in a row). It only happens every 10 or 12 shot changes though. Not on the original EX1 footage, that's for sure. Jeez, I'm starting to really dislike working in Final Cut.

ive cut a few music videos on FCP5/XDCAM without that issue.

sounds like a mismatched setting coming out of AE. are you sure all your AE settings are matching?

Hmm...yep, all the settings are the same. Final cut doesn't need to render it when put in the timeline. I found a way around it though....I just changed the sequence settings to uncompressed 8-bit, the rendered that out in After Effects, now all is well!

I have had (presently cutting something shot on the EX) the same issue when outputting from Color. But like you, use an alternative.
