Hey guys
im trying to export a file I shot on a canon XHA1 to an XD CAM file using sony's XDCAM exporter option which should do the track. The client has asked for it in XDCAM form, as many people are these days. This is my first export of this type.
The channels required on the audio are:
Ch 1+2 = Full mix
Ch 3+4 = international sound (this is raw sound, sound that cannot be taken away from the picture, sound that's been recorded directly to the camera)
ch 5+6 = music and effects
Ch7+ 8 = V/O
I've dragged the self contained HD file into the timeline for exporting and I've put the 8 channels onto the timeline in final cut, laid out as requested, but when I go to export it is saying:
"FOR MPEG HD 50i, Audio must be 2 or 4 channels. You are using 8 channels."
Argh?! Can someone help? I've also made each audio track 'dual mono' as it requested me to do that. I'm in a bloody pickle.
Thank you all
Ryan
