X3 loses 2nd Director

Well, that certainly blows. I just saw Layer Cake yesterday and was very entertained. What could have been...

I lost my faith in the project when I heard that Dr. Frasier Crane was going to be the Beast. What next? Maybe Niles could be Gambit!

Thanks for the link, Null.

That was Vaughn's big fight, getting him in as Beast, he fought tooth and nail to get him casted. I like when guys go out on a limb, I like diversity in casting.

I've yet to see Layer Cake(only cuz it ain't coming to Canada - piss me right off), I was psyched that he was getting to direct such a huge project, and I expected something cool. It's a shame. At least he gets to be consoled by Claudia Schiffer.

imagine getting to that point in your career where your like , X3, I'd have to go away for a while, I'll pass... it's to inconvenient....

My wife and I both loved 'Layer Cake.'

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Seen it twice.

So they lost their second director? Pfftt. We went through four directors, on "Supernova." And it showed...

Any chance somebody makes an indie version? gee.

I rather have a wolverine with fake claws or an aged Storm than this. What happened with Dark Phoenix plot? Because i hope it won´t be a subplot...

Or maybe Singer kept the rights over this script and they have to make something between till he comes back.

Ratner is a bad choice. Would love to have Snyder do it, that would kick ass. When you can't come up with a decent director to helm a project such as this... it makes me wonder where movies are headed???

Yes, this did suck. I can't imagine a ratner version. He may have some amazing pitch in order to be on this.

Of course it does seem like the studio is getting desperate. X2 is one of my all time favourite comic book movies and is a perfect example of how to build on existing material for a sequel.

I for one think that Kelsey Grammar is a perfect choice for beast in fact I'm having a hard time imagining anyone else doing it.

Vaughn = good choice.
Ratner = none of his movies ever inspired me on a happy area.
