[Niebs]

heyo, my dad is always talking about how he'd like a copy of "Johnny Got His Gun," and i've been looking for it everywhere online, i've checked amazon, google and yahoo, and all i can find are pal versions. does anyone have any ideas of anywhere else i could look to try and find an ntsc dvd version? just thought i'd ask, thanks.

Including a bootleg from Hong Kong.

Side bar here...

[HorseFilms]

Yep. That's it.

Those clips always scared the **** out of me. Is the movie worth a watch?

Just another idea, I've bought PAL DVDs before and they played fine in my NTSC DVD player.

[surf]

what do you think the best dvd present is?

[Future user]

Surf, I got Lawrence of Arabia one year. Didn't know what to think. Watched it, loved it. (Helped having a widescreen tv)

[Niebs]

you think the pal dvd would work okay?

[David Jimerson]

Not likely, on an NTSC player.

I bought "Les Miserables" the version with Gerard Depardieu (sp?) that was on TV several years ago. It is a PAL DVD that I bought from someone in London. It played fine on my X-Box and more recently I bought a new DVD/VCR combo unit and it played fine on there (NTSC, bought in California). I can't guarantee it will work, but it has worked for me in this oen instance.

[Niebs]

well, thanks for the input peoples.
