i've serched this forum and for some reason i cant get a straight anser, can someone point me to the thread.

Here is the deal..i used to use pro 1.5 and when i had both 60 and 24 footage on 24 timeline, the 60 was all jittery-to remedy that i woudl put a effect on the 60 clip and render adn fix it.

now that i'm using 2.0 it doesnt work, and i cant find any thread on how to convert the footage...but i'm probably bloody blind

*i just imported my 24p files into a 29timeline and they seem to be working fine-can someone confirm this-i dont want to get into this project and find out that after when i deliver to DVD its going to be messed up.

thanks for any help

I don't know of any effect in Premiere that can convert 60i to 24p. You need something like magic bullet and After Effect for that. Your 24p footage probably works in a 29.97 timeline because it's 2:3 pulldown instead of 2:3:3:2.

yah the thing with 1.5 there was a bug ..so anytime u were woring in a 24timeline and u had 60i or 29footage all u had to do was apply any effect(brightness, contrast or anything). AFter u did that and rendred the footage was fine.

So will it be an issue if i edit in the 29timeline the 24footage or shoudl i stay away.

Also i was made aware of the "interpret footage" option so i'm currently playing with that but i'm not sure exactly wha the "invert" and "ignore" Alpha channels do.

I think if you shot 24p normal then just edit in a 29.97 timeline (that's what recommended anyway) and it should work fine.

yah thats what i'm doing now..everyrhing is good..thanks guys...

my filmout is to DVD and not blow up so working on 29 is perfect
