writing copy!

i'm sitting here at work and i have to write copy for a "one-sheeter." i'm totally tired from the whole holiday fiasco and can't think worth a crap! omg i'm screwed...

sorry, just had to vent a little.
 
I was in the same spot as you. Trying to think of something clever, witty, but more imprtantly pithy to sum it up and it just wasnt happening.

Then there is a key moment in a scene near the beginning of the film that sums the entire thing up and I took that. It works, doesnt give anything away, but lets you know exactly what is going on.

Does your film have a moment like that?

"Look Closer"

Was that IN American Beauty because it was the tagline, or did the tagline come from the film?

(Basically, I'm saying to not try to write something. Look for something that is already there.)
