I just wanted to say what an amazing resource you have here and thanks to everyone who particpates!

I got my DVX100A 13 days ago. I have been directing experimental dance/theater performances (butoh) for over ten years but want to get into filmmaking and this is the first camera of any kind (other than disposable still cameras for vacation trips) that I have ever owned. In the 5 days since I discovered dvxuser.com I have found the answer to almost every question I have about the camera, from how 24pa really works, to how to use black pedestal and setup, to where to find quality inexpensive batteries and microphones. You also have incredible patience (usually) for people who don't search the forum or even read their owners manual before posting a question.

Anyway, I don't have a question right now, just wanted to say thanks!

Bob--welcome to DVXUser and let me say how much I appreciate the fact you took the time to research your questions and browse the forum archives. I wish every new user would take your lead. There's a wealth of information in the archives that covers almost every conceivable new DVX owner question. I'd also be interested in seeing some of your work when you have it ready.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll be happy to post some footage once I have some. As you can imagine, I'm sure it will be some time before I have something I'm ready to show (you'll probably hear from me with questions before then).
