Already? Man those guys really think ahead...

The worst part of it, is that I already can't wait to get one (49 Bucks, those guys aren't kidding)...

That leaves me one question: How many of you use a two button mouse to edit, and what are the key benefits?

Good clicking...

I bought a two button mouse the day after I bought my Mac. I also have macs at the office and use a one button mouse there, but I'll probably get one of these. But at my home (studio) where I do my music and editing, it's always been a two button operation.

The first thing I did was get rid of the one button mouse. It's crap.

I use about 50/50 keyboard and mouse to edit on FCP. The more keyboard shortcuts you know the better. The key benefit of having a two (or more) button mouse is mainly to be able to quickly access dropdown menus. Othewise you're stuck CTRL clicking with two hands and that sucks.

I have a 5 button mouse. One button is programed for "Expose" which allows me to switch between programs quickly and easily without lifting a finger.

I never understood the single button mouse. It looks neat but it's altogether useless.

...and that's the way it is.

The two button mouse with the scroll wheel is a great addition to a FCP suite. You can use the wheel to shuttle which is amazing.

This Mighty Mouse or whatever they are calling it is a bit off... it takes some time to get used to clicking on one side or the other. It's still a "one button" mouse, just kind of jogs side to side.

The scroll button is nice.

Spend $15 bucks and get a generic two button mouse with a little scroll wheel. I got mine from Walmart and it works great. Beats $50 bucks!
