Hi guys, I'm Back!
I've been editing constantly since the new year and I haven't had any time to hang out at DVXuser.com. :-[ I now only have 1 more day on my current job and I'm looking forward to some time off. I'll finally be able to get caught up on everything that's been going on around here.
It looks like there are quite a few articles I haven't read yet, not to mention a couple new categories. Where to begin? ???
I apologize to all of you who have emailed me and it has taken forever for me to respond. I've only been sleeping an average of about 4 hours a day for the past 3 months, so unfortunately returning email takes a backseat to spending all of my available time with my family.
The good news is that one of the projects I co-edited airs tonight at 8PM on the CBC. http://www.cbc.ca/rhymepays/
It's an interesting 1-hour special on the commercialism in rap music and the huge influence it has on consumers. I actually had the producer convinced to have me shoot the bumpers on the DVX, but the Media Guild/CBC Union objected to not using a CBC cameraman. It's too bad because the BetacamSX 29.97 "film-looked" footage looks pretty crappy.
The other good news is that the music video that Monk and I shot on the DVX started airing on Much Music last week. I haven't seen it on-air yet, but Monk has. It is called "GO" and is by the band Spin Dizzy. I'll post it on my web site as soon as I clear some space on my server.
Anyway, its good to be back and I can't wait to start reading!
Tim
