Seems interesting, but in my experience, there's usually a price to pay of some sort for using such an "all-in-one" item.

I can see potential in it, if it works. Laptop batteries are almost as much as a laptop themselves, and will only work with your laptop. If you can get an adapter to work with your laptop, and another one that works with your video cam, it might be handy in a pinch.

I utilize a somewhat less portable solution:

I have one of those portable jump-start battery packs with a cigarette lighter DC output. I hook up an AC inverter, and i can run up to 130watts.

I can't put it in my bag, but it only cost about $60 total. And it jump starts my car
