Except for the, "Gee, I've got the newest gadget" bragging rights, I just don't see the attraction. The resolution is too low and the price is, IMO, too high. We've been getting music videos for free for over 25 years and now they want us to buy them. I'm sorry, I'm not going to play ball on this one.

That I agree. The resolution is too low. I think it won't be until the next generation of portable video we will be satisfied.

But do you want to know the bright side, and I mean, only if iPod video turns to be a sucess. Say you want to podcast your work. So that puts us in terms of content producers, not content consumers. Say you have your DVX. For a 320x240 video, it's a mammoth! The DVX looks as good as any other HD or film camera in an iPod! So if people will actually see video podcasts, we are in a position to produce the best ones out there! I am trying to develop this idea of one short iPod film a month, shooting it myself, getting fellow filmakers to shoot theirs, animation, whatever. Stuff that somebody will want to watch on their iPods. But I'm waiting to see if there is actually any demand for content, and I guess apple is too. The itunes music store will tell them that, and hopefully they will share with us in their next public announcement.
