Would this be a decent overall mic?

Sennheiser K6 with ME-67? I have only 3-4 ext. scenes. Would this mic be ok for recording both int. and ext.?

I think the me-66 would be a better fit for general outdoor shooting. Take a look the ntg-1 as well. Have heard many that dont care for the k6. The NTG-1 gets good reviews considering its price. I've got one that works quite well. For INT work you're going to want to get a hypercardiod like the oktava mk012 or akg ck93. Shotguns tend to sound a bit echo-y indoors but are great for rejecting sound outdoors. You'll also want to look into some wind protection for shooting outdoors most likely.

The Rode NTG-2 is the same as the NTG-1, but can take a single AA battery for power and weighs a little bit more. The NTG-1 requires phantom power. Both are good mics and should work as indoor and outdoor. The oktava like Jeff said would be a better interior mic though once you can add it to your arsenal.

Best,
Andy
