Worst Day Of Your Life

holy **** what a question.

that one is really up in the air amongst about 10 or 15 different days...... the nature of which is so personal and controversial, I'm sure at least some people on this board would despise me :(

The day that I considered buying a sony PD-X10 HAHAHAHA. If I would have actually bought it, *that* would have been the worst....

When I was 21 years old (1991) my car broke down. This was the worst day of my life. The transmission gave out on an old Mercury. In the previous 4 days I had lost my job of 2 years and my girlfriend of 3 years (Tramp whore) left me for a Yacht Salesman.

So when the car broke down; it became the worst day of my life.

Peter Gibbons: So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.

Dr. Swanson: What about today? Is today the worst day of your life?

Peter Gibbons: Yeah.

Dr. Swanson: Wow, that's messed up.

I don't think it was the worst, but the hardest - definately ...

I went to santa monica for a shoot, didn't sleep for 3 days. Went back, school on monday-thursday, went to bed at 3 am each morning, got up at 6am. Took a day off on friday, picked up DVX rental with some other stuff, shot on one of the coldest weekends of the past 3 months... 3 straight days of no sleep.

Never used the camera before either so that slowed things down.

Ahh who am I kidding, I loved it. But I'm still recovering, I got SO sick from that, I was like on my death bed, seriously.

Then while working on said video the harddrive crashed... that pissed me off too

I've been quite fortunate my entire life; most of the bad things which have happened either followed a long prep period (relatives dying after long illnesses, etc.), or they were the result of my own stupidity and I always knew where to look to assign the blame.

I have to say the worst day I've ever lived through was September 1, 2005, when I watched in helpless horror as tens of thousands of my countrymen waited out in hell on earth with no help and rapidly depleting hope. I was horribly sick, too (just now starting to feel better), but I don't really remember much about that.

Conversely, one of the happiest sights I've ever seen is when a thousand-truck convoy poured over the bridge the next day.

These are days which will stick with me forever.

Sadly, this is exactly how I feel.

Interesting topic. Never short on words, here's mine.

My first 24 hours in Seattle was my worst day EVER!

While doing the paperwork to move-into an apartment, my car and trailer (full of stuff) were towed. Then, low on cash, I stopped at an ATM (to pay the taxi driver) and my only Visa ATM card was taken by the ATM machine. The bank employees wouldn't help because I wasn't a "bank customer". (I just moved here, give me my freakin' card back and I'll open an account TODAY!!!)

I then couldn't get my car and trailer back from the towing company because I didn't have my Visa card and they wouldn't take out-of-state checks. D'OH! On top of that they charged a double fee because the trailer counts as an extra car. $360 DOLLARS!!!! D'OH!! Had to make a humbling phonecall to Mom and Dad so they could help their son, who had just made the decision to move 2,000 miles away from home "to be more independent". D'OH!!!

Once parked outside the apartment building I couldn't get my stuff out of the trailer because, while driving through the mountains, all the contents had shifted back and were preventing the door from opening. Had to call U'haul to bring a guy out with a crowbar. Once the trailer was open management told me the freight elevator was being used by a construction crew so I'd have to use the stairs. 6 floors!!! D'OH!!!

On top of all that, while moving stuff down the hallway, I had to hear my neighbor having the loudest sex in the history of mankind. I was having the worst day of my life and this guy and girl were having their best day.

After that, everyday in Seatte was great.
