check this out if you have time. Its the first 6 minutes of a 20 minute film i have been working on. Its about John "Red" Stuart, the oldest living and performing sword swallower. He is a legend in the sideshow world and a really interesting person. The documentary is about him, but also about his efforts to teach a whole new generation the traditional art of the american sideshow. This is still a work in progress so any feedback would be awesome.

ps - i didn't wanna post this in the screen grabs section because i really wanted some feed back from documentary filmmakers since its still a work in progress.

I think it looks great so far. It's engaging, and it sets the story up really nicely.

Where did you get the music? It really set the right mood - a little quirky, lighthearted. A little classy but not comical.

thanks guys.

The first song is by a band named O'death

The second song is by the band A Hawk and a hacksaw

both songs were cleared legally through Bank Robber Music, a great muisc rep frim in NYC.

I'm exporting the full 20 minute cut, if anyone is interested PM me.

Thanks!

Andrew,

Intriguing subject and great character. The filming is very nicely done as is the editing. Good choice of music, and I do like the use of the tickets. Good show!

Cheers

just an me66... altought i really wish i had a nice lav. Everything was a "one man band" with the me66 mounted on the top of the camera.

Noob question, would mixing a mounted shot gun and a lav be the best way to capture interview audio? In a situation like this?
