FINAL OUTPUT: 1280X720 24P ProRes
So my question is, what is the best way to prep my footage to output to 1280x720 24p ?

Or should I output all to 1080? I'm not sure any help or input would be great.

Thanks.

I'd either transcode everything to ProRes at it's native res (so keep the 1080 stuff at 1080 and the 720 stuff at 720) or transcode everything into ProRes 720p. Taking the 720p footage up to 1080 and back down to 720 is just going to cost you time and image quality.

Great guys thanks. Some other things to clarify please.

1. Do I really need to transcode all to 720/24? Couldn't I just get keep the native sizes, transcode only the frame rates. Then just pop all the 1080 sized stuff in a 720 timeline?

2. When I transcode I've been just rendering out of a FCP timeline and batch rendering it out to the frame rates I want. Should I use Compressor instead and why?

Thanks for the help guys I'm really starting to understand what my workflow is gonna look like.
