Working on a Hazed set - Tell me about the small observations

I watched Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy last night, and noticed the Haze effect, really liked it. Noted when it was used etc. I read up on it a bit (the hazers) and was wondering based on the liquids used (water based or oil based), about being in those spaces physically.

Who has worked on sets with haze, and what have you noticed in terms of lens cleanliness, possibly quicker dust on equipment, what your skin feels like end of the day, does your eyes burn or feel watery, etc. Those, not really production concerns, but yet they are.

Thanks.

I work in a theater where mineral oil based hazers are used for lighting effects. I do notice a coating on my glasses that need to get cleaned nightly, but then I'm up in the ceiling on a spot light and the haze tends to travel up there. Best source of information is to get the MSDS for the brand of machine and fluid you plan on using. Each machines manufacturer sell there own fluid formulas, and there are variations for different densities.
