hello.
i am filming hdv with my xh a1. because of organizational reasons concerning metadata, i have to downconvert all my hdv to dv during capture.
so i will be making my project on dv quality instead of hdv. unfortuately i have to sacrifice some quality for organizational reasons!! (bacause you cant extract recorded date and time from hdv
that said: what workflow do you recommend with dv in order to get best endresult?
- should i edit in the dv format, or is there any other formats that is better converting to during editing?
- is the prores-format of any help, or is that only for hdv?
- what about the workflow to output to dvd?
- do you think that that the overall quality will be too much degraded downconverting hdv to dv during capture?
- do you think that it is still possible to achieve good results this way, or do you think there will be considerable quality loss except for the lower resolution?
puuuh!!!
many questions here...
but thanks to anyone who would take their time to answer!
