workflow HD downconvert to SD

What is the best workflow to downconvert HD content (Proress 422 on the timeline, 1280*720, 25p) to SD (pal) ? Is this done in FCpro ? How to export it so I can burn it on a DVD (which will play in any DVD player according to the DVD spec) and do I use DVD studio pro for this or another program. I have FC studio.
 
Generally I recommend outputting to a ProRes/SD clip first from FCP. So that would be something like PAL 720x576/16:9 ProRes HQ. Then use that as your MPEG2 source. I assume you mean DVDSP- which takes the rest from there.

Depending on the length and importance of the final distribution I prefer to use Compressor for MPEG-2 conversion. DVDSP has options to change from the default settings. I try not to go below 6.9Mbps 2- Pass VBR.
