Workflow for removing HISS

I think that too. I was mixing with the client next to me, so he specifically asked for NO HEALS, I´d no other choice... of course that the final result sounds unnatural and I really don´t like that, but lowering the NR didn´t help and the client.. well, it´s the client. On the good side, most of the artifact are masked by the music.

You would have gotten cleaner results using the spectral repair to get rid of the heels and then denoise a bit.

OK I played with the original a bit. Good job. Pretty much of a nightmare trying to pull just the heels and they are all over the dialog. Rx's SR does work but it's really time consuming and really hard to get the heels with out hitting the dialog also.

Man, does anyone else ever feel like the audio section on these boards are like WAY more informative than any other section?

Big thanks to all you audio gurus who take the time to inspect, evaluate and share your opinions!!

It's a great section and I'm incredibly thankful to everyone who posts here, I am a video guy and am new to sound and I've learned so much and avoided so many mistakes because of this area.

There is no question that the film we're about to start shooting will have better sound because of this board - maybe that's because I knew less about sound than any other area of film making when i started reading this board, and thus I had a lot more to learn here than in other areas, but regardless...what a great resource.

Hi Noiz! That´s so cool, can you post the results? I´m relative new to Izotope so I might be not using it right.

I´m agree that this is the best audio/location/post forum out there, full of pro´s, full of info and technicanl data as personal experiences too.

Sorry I didn't save it. The low part is pretty easy to see in the SR display but there is a lot of higher clicks that are all over the dialog. Once you start going after those you can start hearing it in the voice. Also it gets really hard to separate the heels from the voice so it's hard to tell what to go after.
