I have been asked to be assistant editor on a short film which will be shoot with an Arri Alexa and I have never worked with material from an Alexa.
They will film it in ARRIRAW and now my question is which way is best workflow with ARRIRAW when it will be edited in Final Cut Pro 7 on a Mac Pro with 2x2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon and 16GB memory?
They also want me to be on the recording and transfer the material to a MacBook Pro and sit and log while they are recording and what is the best way to do it? The producer also ask me how much hard drive I will need for the material so he can buy some hard drives.
What is often said that an hour material ARRIRAW usually takes on a hard drive?
