Workflow between FCP7 and Premier.

I use premier pro but my boss still uses FCP7. He been making me edit on FCP7 but I don't want to learn something that is obsolete. So I was wondering have anyone here work on a project where they have to go back and forth between premier and FCP7?

Go back and forth between both programs can create more problems than you think. I would recommend organizing your footage and doing preliminary cuts in FCP 7 and finishing in Premiere by sending an XML file and importing it into Premiere.

I would recommend pulling your boss into the 21st century. Switch to a Windows 8 machine running Creative Cloud. Then everybody wins. (Except Apple, but...everyone else wins when they lose, so...)

Seems like the boss holds the hammer. Enjoy FCP7 or move out.

FCP7 is far from obsolete and is still used by lots of people in the UK including me!
