Word

I remember back in the day, before Celtx and before I knew about FD, I used to write spec with MS Word. Lol.

Well today, I wrote a 5 pager for Moviepoet's contest on word and it really brought back the memory of howbad it sucked. I just HAD to write this story right then and there and was nowhere near my PC with Celtx.

Anyone ever have one of those moments where the story could not wait? I heard Woody Allen used to write scenes on napkins when they'd hit him.

I drove a forklift for a decade... and once wrote a scene on the top of a box, then had to cut off the top of the box and pretend that it was shipped that way when the foreman asked.

I have written in Word, and yes it does suck, badly. I'd say my worst would be writing an outline on a piece of wax paper while working at Dunkin' Donuts.

Up until about two years ago, I did pizza delivery as a second job. When it was slow I would print out some blank receipt printer paper and jot down some ideas or very basic story outlines. When things would pick up I could just fold up the paper and easily store it all in one of the many pockets of my wallet.

I used to write scripts in Word as well. I've got Movie Magic for my PC, but since I prefer to work on my Mac I primarily use Celtx now. I actually prefer Celtx overall as well.
