so this new "feature" in leopard was really pissing me off. every time i plug in headphones, i have to go into system prefs to switch them on and switch the line out off and no more having both on at once. thanks a lot apple....
so i just found this little bit of freeware called soundsource that lets you switch your outs and sources with ease right from the toolbar and does auto-switching between headphones and line out if you like. plus you can have multiple outs going at once and independent volume control for each out. nice.
