Woman sues over 'misleading' movie trailer

Imagine if 'Titanic' had a trailer promoting it as a movie about ships and sailing the seas. You see, it's not that the TITLE is considered by this woman to be deceptive -- it's about the TRAILER being deceptive. 'Titanic' isn't a movie about the ship -- it's a movie about the people who fall in love while onboard the ship.

And that's exactly the point! According to her, the trailer gives the impression that the movie is essentially a car chase movie, when in fact it's not.

I get what you're saying.

Some have already touched on this, but I think the key point here is (as you say) "According to her...". I've re-watched the trailer after seeing this thread yesterday, and "to me" it doesn't come off at all like an action film. I had the same impression the first time I saw the trailer (and knew nothing about the movie).

That being said, the trailer I saw (on RottenTomatoes), might be different than what played in theaters, or on other sites.
