Anyone know of any FREE conversion software? I just tried iskyvideo and its great but it watermarks its trial version and its $30. I am working on a Macbook pro running OsX 10.5.8.

I am trying to convert wmv files to .mov or whatever is usable by a mac OS.

Any suggestions?

Flip4mac is only a trial version and will place a watermark overtop of the clip. I have mpegstreamclip already. Version 1.9.2 and it doesn't recognize the WMV file. Any advice on how to get around this and/or watermarking issues without having to pay for conversion software?

The Flip4Mac PLAYER should be free (and does not put a watermark on anything).
You may have accidently downloaded one of the other versions of the program.
Here is a link to the player:

If you install the Flip4Mac player then mpegstreamclip should recognize the WMV because the codec will then be installed on your system
(which is what Shane was getting at in his original post).

Try out the player and see if that works.
