without LASTCLIP.txt

Dear All,
I think I am in trouble.
I was using Avid and just switched to FCP. For Avid, we move all the video and sound files under the same folder: Avid MediaFiles/MXF/(number), so we don't need to keep LASTCLIP.txt file.
Now I am going to use FCP, and I will use Log and Transfer. Yet, as I don't have the LASTCLIP.txt files and also moved all the files out from P2 video and audio folders, Log and Transfer just cannot recognize the files. What should I do now?
Please help.
Thanks.

Unless somebody knows of an app that can reconstruct a P2 folder structure or at least the lastclip file. Which theoretically shouldn't be to hard an app to write so I would not be surprised if there is one availble. I recommend you ingest the files into either Edius or Avid and export your media as self contained clips for use in FCP.

I think Coldpizza has the best idea. I've read you can just create a dummy LASTCLIP.TXT file, but you would also need to recreate the entire CONTENTS folder structure. The real lastclip.txt is only used if you have spanned clips, so it can keep track of that; so if you're able to recreate the CONTENTS folde, you can use a text editor to make a lastclip.txt.
