Wiring Diagram for powering small electret mic

I have 2 electret lapel style mics that I bought from a surplus store. I want to wire them to be powered off a battery.

They work fine if wired as 1/8" and plugged into a voice recorder that supplies some power (5v?) but no sound if plugged into a standard non-powered input. 48v Phantom would probably make a nice piece of plastic popcorn.

I will be wring these with XLR connectors for use with my mixer and or HMC150.

Could someone post an wiring diagram for powering these? Which voltage batteries can I use?

This is my primary reference for powering simple electret mic capsules from P48 phantom power:

And if you want to buy something elegant off the shelf, just buy a Rode MiCon-5 for $20~25 and a
replacement cable. Chop the cable in half and connect the bare end to your capsule.
