wiring an adaptor from Lectro to G2

Hi guys,

starting another reality show in a couple weeks, and they want to use G2 as the main go to wireless, with Lectro for certain occasions (briefings, cam hops).

We're going to use G2 because their is a fair chance of transmitters dying on us, (its military reality show - lots of water and action and stuff). If we DO lose a transmitter, G2 is the most commonly available stuff in SA. So there ya go.

Anyway, I've got my Sankens wired for Lectro with TA5F plugs, BUT I'd like to have the option of using them on this show. So I want to get some short adaptor cables made up. Anyone know what sort of wiring I would need to do for a TA5M on the Lectro to locking minijack for the G2?

Thanks,
Tim

Go to the lectrosonics website and look in the tech notes section. They have a lot of info there on wiring. While you're there you should check out the MM400b transmitters. They would be ideal for your situation as they are built strong and they are water tight.

i know the mm400's but they are too expensive and not available in South Africa, so its pointless trying to go that route. We are going to be running up to 16 mics, and there simply isnt enough Lectro gear available in JHB for that, especially not the likes of the mm400's.

so G2 it is..
