Wireless video transmitter

I purchased a 900 mhz transmitter/receiver system from Range Video and had no problems. But there have been reports of some orders being delayed because items were out of stock.

The equipment works well enough. But if you do order from Vova, be sure to get in contact and check for stock availability before ordering.

What was the video signal like? And what kind of range/etc. did you get with it? I was looking at these for a back up plan

It's not bad at all. Certainly just fine if you're just looking for content and composition. It will transmit audio, too. There's occasional breakup due to odd reflections. If a diversity receiver system is used the signal will probably be a lot more solid.

I went as much as a few hundred yards before it started to break up. That's with just a plain omni. Also the antenna on the helicopter is a simple dipole. With a directional patch antenna some people have reported going a lot farther. And there are several examples on YouTube.

I haven't had a chance to fly the system with this configuration yet. In fact, I'm still learning to fly this thing. Weather's been lousy and I don't have much time.
