Wireless system of choice?

If I had my way I would get a Lectrosonics wireless audio system ( I use them at work) but they are oh so expensive! Anyway, I need to get a wireless set up before the end of July as I have a wedding to shoot. I have been considering the Sennheiser 100 series and also considering the Audio-Technica 100 series. Based on performance and reliability what are the systems of choice among you all?

Sennheiser is my choice and why I picked in in a recent purchase. Why?

1440 channels compared to 100
100+ feet more range
better frequency response
2 year warranty over one year
use cheaper batteries that last longer
smaller
half the weight
better and more elaborate display
searchable clear channels technology which is awesome
and some other specs that are better than Audio Technica.

As a pro, I would never consider Audio Technica. Its a company that is more prosumer in my mind. Sennheiser has been a leader in microphone and wireless systems for many years. These mics perform flawlessly.

I am also in the market for a wireless system but wanted to ask a question. Seems like I remember reading about a wireless system where the receiver mounts under the camera. Is there a wireless system that will receive signals from two wireless mic's instead of just one? I have a need where two people will be walking around and I will be following them with the camera and they will be talking as they walk. So I figured if each had a mic attached then when they had their back to me at times I could still pick up their audio. Any ideas? Thanks for your comments.

All wireless systems can receive signals from 2 transmitters at a time, but it will sound like gibberish (I've tried). If you have 2 mics, you need 2 transmitters and 2 receivers set at different frequencies (that is 1 transmitter and 1 receiver set at a certain frequency, and the other transmitter and receiver set at a certain different frequency).

In your situation, if the people are close enough to each other, they may be able to share 1 lavalier mic.

Hi eqwalker!

Never heard of one of those. There are camera mounts for many receivers, though.
I use the BEC Group stuff, but this "bracket1" looks like a much better value.

It costs more than your camera and is the only purely digital wireless on the planet
for microphones. But, yeah, they do make them.

That's what radio lav mics do best.
(read like, "that's what Tiggers do best" from Whinnie the Pooh. Good Luck!

Thisiswells - thanks for the info, but your bracket-1 link doesn't work for me. Possible website being down?
