Wireless system for shotgun mic

I just started working with a nice brand new Azden SGM 2x and I am currently looking for a wireless system. In order to give the camera even more freedom we were all contemplating an external recording device, but after doing some reading I figured a good wireless system would be nice too. Anyone have any suggestions? I am very unfamiliar with any kind of wireless system so any advice would be helpful.

I have had really good results with a Lectrosonics plug on transmitter out in the field, I have even used it hand held for interviews. I think you can find a used one on eBay for about the price of a new Senn G2.
