Wireless Shotgun configuration

Would it be possible to connect a shotgun microphone, say my Audio Technica AT4073A to a Sennheiser wireless system that provides phantom power? The transmitter being a SKP500G2 part of this kit:http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/388432-REG/Sennheiser_EW501PG2_C_Evolution_G2_500_Plug_In.htm

would this configuration work, or would it severely hinder the audio? Would you have any suggestions in a configuration like this to connect a shotgun microphone to a wireless system to go to either the camcorder or another device?

I use the Sennheiser G2 Lav/Transmitter/receiver combination, which works very well. They also make a plug-on transmitter, the SKP 500 G2 for converting any wired mic to wirelesss and which provides 48V phantom power - I have no experience of using this, but you can check it out here -

EDIT two hours later - Oops... boy did I screw up - obviously wasn't concentrating when I read your question!

i don't see any problem why it wouldn't work

keep the level that you will have strong signal , let the limiter work occasionally on high picks to get better sn
