wireless receiver mount

Hi everyone,
new here, awesome site! I am wondering what setup you guys use for a wireless receiver mount to the dvx. I have not purchased the cam yet, have to wait til after my wedding/honeymoon next couple of weeks. And I think I will be going with a lectrosonics setup - used for sveral years at work and always trustworthy for me.Anyway, I think I am 99% sure I will be going with the dvx100A, I am a news videographer for one of the local network affiliates (EYE won't name names or anything - hint hint)and because we make so much money (yeah right), I've decided to start my own side biz, hopefully turning into something fulltime and work for myself. The thing that is something I will have to get used to, I guess, is I really am used to shooting off the shoulder, as opposed to holding these much smaller handlhelds in front of me.What are your opinions on these dv rigs I am reading about? The other thing is, anyone around Cleveland know where I might find a dealer who sells the dvx? I was able to find an xl2 dealer near me, and to be honest, I hated the color viewfinder and it seems to small a camera to put on the shoulder, and i am not all that crazy about the lense, prefer a completely manual lense over that thing. I guess I'm used to my dvc pro at work.Well thanks in advance for the info guys, and gals! Take care.

Re: wireless receiver mount

hey i have a bracket 1 and i hate it, i only would use it if i were strictly tripod based.

if you really want a bracket 1 send me an email, i used mine for about 2 hours and i'd love to see it get a new home :)

nothing wrong with the product, it is just waaay too far forward in my opinion.

i really prefer products that keep the mic as close the center of gravity as possible.

there are plenty of posts on here where we have listed products we use.

Oh, I never thought about that. I may end up fabricating my own bracket then. Thanks for the heads up.If I may ask, How much do you want for yours? I have a friend with a PD170 who may be interested.

Re: wireless receiver mount

I'm using the Audio Technica Pro88 which came with it's own bracket. Don't seem to have any problems.

Re: wireless receiver mount

use the bracket one - just mount the RX on the INSIDE of the mount - keeps it more towards the center of the camera.
