Hey
I use the Sennheiser G2's for personal use and at 2 different jobs so far. I have really enjoyed using them. I cant be sure but on the Office episode where Michael takes Dwight to the Hospital he goes into a part of the hospital where he has to remove all metal and it looks like he takes off a sennheiser G2 but I cant be sure. That might have been for effect or only for certain shots. I would think they would run wired mics as much as possible.

I also use G2s, though I use Tram TR-50 lav heads instead of the stock sennheiser lav heads. These units have worked very well for me, and I've used them on shows such as The Rachel Ray Show, The Dr. Keith Ablow Show, interviews with P Diddy, Twista, Mike Ditka, Bill Kurtis docs, etc.
The one thing you HAVE TO DO WITH THE G2s is scan for clear channels every time you switch locations--- if you don't do that, you are walking on the razor thin edge of doom!
These things don't scan for clean channels a million times a second like the big boys do. That's why you gotta do it yourself at each new location.
If you do that, these little disposable toys will work wonders for you in reasonably close range. :kali:

Most guys mixing episodic television are (mostly) going to be using Lectrosonic or Zaxcom.
A reality show rig will consist of a Wendt 5 ch. mixer with 4 Lectosonic 411's in a Petrol or Porta Brace bag with an NP-1 or Anton Bauer battery powering the whole thing using either a BDS (battery distribution system) made by Trew (or custom made).
